Crispy almond crust pizza for a quick and healthy meal

After being confronted with the threat of diabetes in her 30s and after her son began suffering from ever increasingly severe migraine headaches, Tal Meiri decided it was time for a change, not only in lifestyle but also a culinary change. After years of processed bread, low-fat food and breakfast cereals.

She even decided to invest her time and money in cooking classes so that she would be able to offer her family a healthy but delicious diet. It is there she came across the ketogenic diet which includes a high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate dietary therapy used by doctors to treat patients suffering from various illnesses. As a trained occupational therapist, Meiri, now advises families in the ketogenic lifestyle and has even published a cookbook.
